Hi Tiggy, Although I have a sec D I dont know much about them, as the Fells take over. We have only taken her to one show as a companion for a worried traveller, she takes it in her stride , the D's are laid back. My mother works in Barnstable, 29 miles each way, but the scenary is good. I will certainly be at the shows. Love your profile pic. Have SW ponies got a website? best wishes,Tamsin

Hi there, we also moved down here from Sussex and we're not far from you (in Langtree - Stibb Cross). Showing folk are a bit thin on the ground round here and we end up doing a fair amount of travelling to shows. Our nearest show is 'Holsworthy' and 'The Grange' is also not too far (about an hour - would be less for you). Good Luck for the coming season Hi Kitty, Sussex..... my boyfriend Simon is still travelling every other week to see me from Alborne Susssex. We will definately go to Holsworthy Show and I will look up the Grange. What made you move! I am trying to convince BF. We used to go to shows at Albourne when Jess was little as we were only about 1/2 an hour away. I know a lot of people in that area and I'm still in touch with most of them, I do really miss my friends! We moved down here so that we could have the ponies at home and to experience a better lifestyle especially for the children and although we don't have as much money as we used to, I think we made the right choice. The area we came from is a lovely semi-rural village/town , Steyning, but we also lived in Shoreham, Brighton and Haywards Heath. I was flying out of Gatwick for 7 years and spent a lot of time going out in London as well so, as you can imagine, it's very different for me down here. I went back to East Grinstead recently for a Caledonian Airways reunion and I did feel a bit homesick Anyway we might catch up if we see you at any shows, Lucy x

Lucy, you are getting maudling now, you know you have loads of friends down here and Devon is a much better place than the South East!!! Seriously though, moving from South East to South West is very , hard, different ways and different people, but , they are so nice and have time, which is in short demand up country.
