Ok silly question time but i've never been to the Championships before so not sure how things work. If i book a stable : 1) Can we buy shavings from them or do we have to bring them with us? 2) Are we permitted to sleep in our lorries?
Really looking forward to Championship but getting knickers in a twist, already!!!

All the stables have a certain amount of shavings [only shavings] in them so most people put half a bag on top to ensure it is clean. We will have the stable managers office open at certain times of the day to buy extra if you need it [we always run out of haylage] but it is more expensive than if you bring your own.
It is only softies like Mo and Meg who seek a BED overnight - everyone else sleeps in lorries, caravans, tents and even trailers [swept out of course!]. Most collect their friends around them or make new ones and best of all you don't have to drive home after leaving the bar and the disco [except Mo and Meg of course!]. Barbacues are the order of the day or you can get a cooked meal in the restaurant - or fish and chips in Caldicot! Last year the Pizza delivery man did a good trade too. There are showers available, but we all smell the same by Sunday so don't really notice.
If you want shavings etc you must tell us on the entry forms as we need to order them

its just over the old toll bridge and it takes 10 mins to get there. Think its £40 a room a night that sleeps 3. Thinking of snobbing it too?

Are you on some sort of deal with Travel Lodge? Commission maybe?
Kitty you would have to pay the toll every day if it is just over the bridge - she didn't tell you that! You stay with us! he he

I wouldn't miss staying on the showground just hope we have good weather Also we were wondering whether the ladies that do the motifs and embroidery were going to be there again? I can't remember their website address if anyone knows it? Lucy x
