You're booked for the 9 May and/or the 7 June, 19 July and 11/12/13 September. So do not get carried away when the requests flood in - which they will!
PM me which ones you can/cannot do.

Stewarding at the champs are great!I've done it for the last 2 years and eventhough it is tiring, you learn so much and make some great friends, You even earn yourslef some free entries.
Honestly think i wouldn't have won the young judges comp if i hadn't stewarded with the great judges at SWPA

We are getting lots of enquires for us to steward but i think i will make it easier if i list the days that we are available... we will look at our diary of events and put our free dates on here,We didnt realise how many people want stewards!!! good stewards are always in high demand. It is your job to keep the ring safe and orderly, one bad steward can cause chaos!

a stewards job is to run a ring and make sure the judge can concentrate on the class. If rules are not adhered to in the ring, it may cause grief for the organiser outside it. The ring must be kept safe for everyone and you have got to be aware of everything that goes on to ensure the classes run to schedule by making sure the line up is pulled in quickly, the horses are stood up waiting for the judge as soon as the other horse has finished its show and that rosettes are ready to be given out.

...................... one bad steward can cause chaos! Trust me - a bad steward can forget to write down results, send the ponies round the wrong way so they all crash into each other, send out ponies that the judge has already looked at, line the ponies up in the wrong order, argue with the judge, let in competitors who have not paid for the class, even tell the judge they are judging a different class to the one they are actually judging! We have had a few in the past - but NEVER at SWPA shows! ;D ;D ;D ;D
