Read it now - will see what I can get the old grump to agree to! Might have to use my strongest persuasive powers - !!!!
Titch - ask Andrea [the commentator and allyscallywag1] what she is like putting tents up in gales and rain. Two OAP's trying to put up a tent at Peterborough in the rain and wind - hillarious! I was one of them!

Sounds like you don't have much faith in your driver!!!!!! Don't blame you, i know when i was in a wheelchair i chose to have a motorised one thought it was safer than letting mum push me.

Sorry, but I have to say this - IF [and it is still "if" as my persuasive powers have not yet kicked in!] we have wheelbarrow racing, motorised wheelchairs will not be allowed! OAP's in motorised vehicles are banned.
They all turn them up to full power in Weston and terrorise the community, shooting around the shops like they are in F1 cars!
Hope someone is bringing some rosettes!

Well I was going to bring a bucket and gloves to muck out. Obviously its going to be essential to pack the wheelbarrow now. I never knew having to select which wheelbarrow in the yard will go fastest would ever be on my list! Oh well I suppose I could always sleep in it

you all need to get your WD40 to ensure optimum speed. I havent got a wheel barrow so cant drive however i am willing to be the passenger,

i think each "driver" should have a drink, then spin round a pole 3 times, pick up wheelbarrow and have several more drinking stops along the course while passenger has glass in hand, who ever makes it over the finishing line 1st with some liquid left in the glass wins

Sounds good to me but think it might be a good idea to leave out the passengers, they could get seriously injured!!!! could make it a relay instead?
