Just an update - the format for the class is now being brought together and will be presented to SWPA in the next week for their consideration. Following this, updates will be posted regularly. At this stage we are hoping to have M&M in hands and ridden - it will all become clear in the next few weeks but can you please put the date in your diary - Friday 10 September 10. Also, a special class will be held for the Champion 1and 2nd Reserve and Section finalists from 2009 to go head to head again - they cannot compete for the Gwynbeth 2010 but we are planning in a few years to have a GwynBeth of the finalists of previous years and each year we will invite back the previous winners to enter for a special prize and to keep past competitors welcome and remembered. Finally, if you would like to Sponsor a Section of the M&M Breeds in-hand or ridden please do contact me. We are also working on the Sponsor packs but your offers will be gratefully received. Also if you distribute Notices, entry forms to Tack shops, Livery Yards, etc., could you also contact me and as soon as we have the printouts, we can send you them. We will not keep you waiting any longer than necessary for the format so if we say 2 weeks from today should be the posting with the format, entry details, etc. Once again thank you for 2009 and in great anticipation of your support for 2010. from a very excited GwynBeth Team xxx

Helle there will be usual age limits as with lr and fr Karcher- we are planning that hopefully for every breed there will be an inhand, ridden and youngstock section. Lr and fr included for small breeds. The way the classes will run will differ slightly from last year so that timing etc are improved but cant say too much until it is all finalised but promise we will update you as soon as everything is set in stone.

Taffy- I was more worried if there was a min age- she is 11 and has a section C. Thought it might be aimed more at 'adults'? Also have to take her out of school- why is it on a Friday? ;D

Children are most definatly welcome and we are also hoping to arrange a childrens party like we did for the adults last year, so everybody can get together

No, this year is M&M's - partbreds are planned for next year and coloureds were last year. The idea is to operate on a three year cycle - you would not be able to cover everyone, in one ring, on one night! It takes us three days to cover all the combinations for the championship classes over several rings.
I do also warn that there could be limits to the numbers this year as obviously M&M's are by far the biggest classes, so you need to make decisions about school etc in advance.
Why a Friday? - same sort of planning issues as above. SWPA has to fit into the calender along with all the other events that take place at Crick and these are the three days we have had for a long time now. We would not be sensible to use August as we would clash with BSPS, NPS, Equifest etc. Saturday evening we want to keep for the SWPA major sponsors who have supported us for a long time like Kitt Kraiburg and Fire Alarms Consultancy Ltd and for the fun events that the kids can enjoy like the wheelbarrow races [hope as much preparation will go into this as for the Gwenbeth - a time for dads to shine!]
I am sure Hats Galore and taffy will update you and answer your more specific questions - all I say is come Friday and enjoy the experience!

Sorry but as anounced at the last Gwynbeth m&ms only this year. Every type will be catered for at some point but as Medwin has stated there is no way we could do everything in one day or night. Hopefully by next week we will be able to give you some idea on prize money as we are working with sponsors as we speak. And just to remind everybody if you know of anybody who might be interested in sponsoring please pm me. Doesnt matter how little and im sure last years sponsors will tell them how much they enjoyed last year
