Medwin will be forwarding beth details of entrants so your competitor packs may be sent next week. We hope both competitors and Spectators will enjoy this class and should it prove successful and it is actually required by Competitors we will look to incorporate it into the GwynBeth day and it will get bigger and more competitive. Obviously this is the first time it is being tried and tested and it an innovation. We would appreciate your comments on this thread both for and against as you are the people with an interest (or not) in it. On a personal level - we are really looking forward to it - a lot happens in a year and we think it will be an interesting class.

Just had a look at the inhand schedule and i see only 3 from each age group get into the evening bit. I think this is a shame as all the breeds may not be in it. I think it may have been good to have one from each breed in there just my thoughts.

Thank you for your comment Titch which is perfectly valid. We did discuss the very point you have raised but had to weigh up the factors. Firstly and hopefully not, we may have a section with no entries of a paricular breed and age and the number of sections we would have to run to judge like for like. Secondly - if you had a few entries of a Breed but they, in the opinion, of the judge not of the Breed Standard they thought apppropriate - do they not give out rosettes and there the entrants fo not progress - great disappointment, time to run the classes and so on.... Hopefully we will get as many Breeds through as we can and in Phase 3 we may well see all in the arena under the spotlights from the different sections. The In hands have a special magic and I am sure the final 9 will do us proud. If we ever have the opportunity to run classes to select breed by Age we will certainly do and I hope you will be there to enjoy the moment with us.
