what have you been up to today? Well this morning we did they ponies as usual. I got a college prospectus from the open college of equine studies. Went to help dad move the car from the garage to the front of the house, and then my friend turned up and had some dinner. Helped tidy up and clean the car then went for a rest. Went back up cleaned the field, groomed ect. At four Sascha new rider came up and she groomed her for ages and tacked her up. She did fab on her and did a few jumps, she said she had never felt a pony jump so high (shes been on 15.2hhs at the local riding school!! and shes 8 and obviously they'll just step over them) she did well and jumped her over 2ft. I hate it when riding schools teach them to go into jumping position well before the jump. She rode her back to the shed and up tacked her and gave her some carrots. Sascha followed her around the field and stood at the gate when she left Going back up later to check them again. And now im starving ;D

I took 3 doggies for a walk and admired our lovely Devon banks, which look so beautiful, changed 21 ponies into another field, ( a lot of puffing and panting and that was me!!) , then put out another 9 ponies, then watched Heir hunters whilst eating my breakfast, ( just in case I was due a fortune), had a shower, then people arrived for the second hand tack shop, and have to admit as they were friends gassed for ages, then some one arrived with a pony they had bought from Appleby in Cumbria, and wanted Baner to look at the harness, more gassing, then quick lunch, a bit of time on the comp, then ponies, again, polytunnel nurtering my plum tomatoes, then doggie walk again, then drinkie poo, then dinner, and now BIG BROTHER, my fav( at the moment, as I hate Charlie, she is such a BIG mouth). What a sad life ( only joking!!)

It was a piebald cob, bit sad really it was only 2 , and already being driven, and poor, but the people that have him hopefully will give it some t l c, he is also entire so presume they will use him next year. Did you know that a pony was drowned at Appleby, totally horrific, why do they allow it to go on, I know its a traditional gypsy fair, but a lot of bad things happen . If you live near there , dont tell me you come down for our shows in the South West!!!

No i havent been down to any swpa shoes bit far to travel, though really fancy coming to watch and everyone seems great!. Yup i knew there was a pony drowned, poor wee soul. A few years back my friend got a photo of two really heavy men driving a shetland mare and foal in a tandem and the cart didnt look safe either. Sadly thats what alot of them do up this way usually break at 18 months and drive/ride them from that point onwards. Argh really dreading today, got to go to then dental hospital for a check up . Would rather stay and home and go see the ponies.

Well yesterday i went to the dreaded dentist which wasnt so bad, new dentist was lovely and very patient. He laughed when i walked in because he'd expected some screaming person to walk in who'd try to kick him and bite his fingers!. after that we got some dinner and did some shopping, didnt buy much other than some bicuits for the horses and some shampoo. Fell asleep for ages when i got home. Today i was knackered as usual, couldnt do much because it was raining. A friend brought down some bhs books, ones the stable management one and the other the examination handbook, so ive been busying reading those as well as poo-picking in the raining and trying to tidy my tackroom

I've been to 3 counties. Got very very very wet and then sat in traffic for 2 and a half hours on the way home. Not nice. Now going to give the puppies their tea and give Lily her last set of antibiotics. Hope to have a nice quiet evening in front of the tv just me and mum......

I have been doing a three hour exam today on eletrical generation and distribution on a nuclear submarine. All very boring but i have to pass the exams to get on to my next draft on HMS Talent which is based in Plymouth. Should have lots of fun when i get to sea again.
