This is the weekend that starts off Christmas for me and Team Breamore. I spent the morning plucking and dressing two brace of pheasants and making 4 dozen mince pies. Of course the rest of the day was a soaking wet orgy of mucking out and feeding but this evening we are off to Breamore House to the annual party where we get to drink champagne and eat lovely canapes. Tomorrow the entire team is off to the Carol Service in our lovely church which is over 1000 years old. Mother in law has done all the floral decorations in the church which is truly lovely at this time of year and when the service is over, it's back to my house for mince pies and mulled wine. Christmas has started in Breamore.

Breamore is where tradition continues - long after many of us have just forgotten the feasting and merriment and gone for the spending!
My last trip down there I had to share my sleeping accommodation with drying hydrangeas which will now be all gold and glittery and hanging in the beautiful Breamore House along with silver ivy sprays and sprigs of holly. Any chance of any pictures to make us all feel Christmassy?

Wel, I shall be decorating Breamore House on Tuesday and if I can find out how to upload my film pix I'll be glad to do so. Those of you who know me as Still Images know I do old fashioned film pix, but good! Will give it a go. It's a 16th century manor house which is a great joy to decorate. Not too much to do this year as Sir Edward and Lady Hulse are moving out after Christmas for their son, Michael and daughter in law Doone to move in so very low key. Will see what I can do with regard to pix.
