we have found that our daughters pony is a head shaker, we have been advised to use a nose net due to it being allergie related, we know that we can use it in dressage but how do we stand in showing , this is our first time at affiliated level and are attending the festival on the 10th can we still enter a class with it on?? equinim gave some good advice and i wandered if anybody else would know? or if they have had a pony that done the same? and how they went about it . all advice would be a great help.

It would be pretty frowned upon if you used it in the ring i would think as i can honestly say i have never seen a head shaker in the ring with a net on. A friend of mine used to use an old pair of tights, kept them on til the last minute, gave a syringe full of airforce and a good smothering of vic, and found that it kept it at bay long enough for the class. It did depend on the circumstances as the mare was more affected by the heat and the pollen so on really hot days she didnt compete.

My old arab used to head shake, we used to smother nose with vaseline before going in this used to stop him for long enough and nose net at home.
