I think its just going to mean one more welsh D or Connemara that qualifies each year. furthermore it will mean one less round for everyone to enter, its just giving the better campaigned ponies more of a chance. Perhaps a home produced olympia qualifier would be better

When is home produced not home produced. I think the New WILD CARD is a Super Idea If you look in the new bsps rules Home Produced is not home produced anymore it is just another open class. I suggested they have amateur pony/horse and nothing to have qualified HOYS/RIHS for 2 years can take part, they said areas wont go for it. WHY?

SWPA suggested to the NPS years ago that every pony that wins a class in an Olympia qualifier goes forward to a seperate Championship at the summer champs. That would not include the one that qualifies for Olympia so a good number of ponies would have recognition of their wins and there would be a wide range of breed types to make a worth-while, prestigious competition. Never happened -

I dont they want too help the TRUE Home Produced anymore just the certain few big names and they all seem to be happy, sad isnt it, Why dont they just go and buy their own 1st rosettes???
