Last night on 'How Clean Is Your House' Kim and Aggie' used 'Denture Cleaning Tablets' to whiten up some disgustingly dirty net curtains and the dirt and discoloration just floated out, it was amazing! They said the tablets contained citric acid which is obviously kinder than other products on the market and I was wondering if it worked on tails or feathers. It would be a relatively inexpensive product to try but it may just work!

denture tablets can be used to remove stains on clothing and tea stains on cups would have thought they should get white socks and tails white. am i right in thinking citric acid is lemon juice? as lemon juice also gets things white

I spoke to Lynn Russell at the launch of her It's Showtime! range at BETA and she recommended the stain remover especially for using on yellow tails. One of my customers has since tried this, and says it's great, the furst time her horse has had a white tail for years.
Helen - I am still basking in the glory of Ellies tail, knees and hocks all being black!!!!!!!!! Have some more pics of her, having trouble with photobucket, will email to you direct, if you want to post them please do, they were all taken today - she is exactly one moth old new!

I use blue food colouring to rinse on my horse! I put cold water in a bucket and a couple of drops of blue food colouring! (He gets very messy)
