yes part breds are normally plaited , the yearling needs a bit more time to mature in my eyes (my opinion)

I agree with karen on the yearling, but think you 4yo could do Hunter Pony Breeding classes well, also your part bred arab classes and maybe a competition pony class too, it's surprising what a difference a tidy up makes!!!

yes pull, trim and plait your part bred, he will turn out loverly are you going to show ridden or inhand or both? if you have the day off come down to bicton arena 8th july its the SouthWest arab horse group summer show... come and watch the inhands and riddens see what they have to do... and also come and meet me and my fat boy ive got a shedule if youd like me to scan it for you... shame entries had closed and no on the day

i will have to see if im off on that day i would love to come and see wats about. really nervous bout taking him out i know he was shown as a foal and did well. please scan a schedule just so i can have a look at wat classes are about for him in hand (dont ride well enough to show him under saddle lol)
