we are picking up a new pony the weekend after the bath and west her name is cosford chanterelle she is a 12hh chestnut lead rein pony, just wondered if anyone can tell me anything about this breeding, im under the impression its very good?! her dam is cosford charmeuse by solway schizanthus and her sire is bengad dragons head, can anyone shed any light on these ponies. Please forgive my ignorance i dont know much about breeding?!

Oooh lucky you. She sounds lovely. I dont follow the ponies so cant comment on th breeding but i know of several successful cosford ponies. Good luck with her!

Cosford, Solway and Bengad are all quality studs although I don't recognise any of those individual ponies. Cosford is primarily riding ponies whilst Bengad is reknown for it beautiful A's. We have always had/produced Bengad ponies and at the moment have Bengad Cannabus who is a LR. Solway are an old stud which focused on B's and PB's, whose most famous must be Solway Master Bronze who I believe came from the Bwlch Valentino line after the war.
