Bobby cut his leg a few weeks ago. Its on the inside of the near side hind on his cannon bone.its roughly 1 inch wide and about 2-3 inches long. At the minute it looks horrendous! Most of it is scabbed but a little bit is still weeping which is mixing with the sudocream and leaving his leg a blackish colour, however hes sound and with a wash, i think it wont look half as bad as it does. Now, do i take him to the Welsh Show on Sunday? Ive earnt free classes from stewarding last year but i dont wont he to make a bad everlasting first impression. What would everyone else do?

if its still weeping i wouldnt chance it ... is it worth the risk just for a rossette?

Not worth the risk. I kept Dimps home because of a heamatoma and she's sound. You won't be able to cover it with makeup because it will get infected. The judge will see it and you'll get noticed for the wrong reason. Just my opinion, but if it was me I'd say, keep him for another day.

I would'nt risk taking it with it still weeping, high chance of infection. There's always another day, also I would get some Camrosa on it

yeah weve decided to keep him at home. Not so worried about covering up but its a 2hr journey in a box with a horse he doesnt know and we dont want him to split it

Good decision. Plenty of other shows to do and you'll find it'll heal up in no time now.

good decision best to leave him to heal properly, to help healing silicea (i think thats them cant find the pot) tehy are herbal and are fantastic in aiding healing, my gelding slashed his face as a weanling down to the bone as well as keeping clean gave him these and he was healed completely in 5weeks with absolutely no scaring.

Sensible decision. Keep him till Parc Howard. It's much safer to let it heal first or he'll be off even longer

Yes, wise decision not to bring him methinks. However, there's nothing to stop you still coming along to meet us all ;D
