WE DID A WELSH SHOW TODAY HERE IN WALES AND THE WINNER OF OUR YEARLING SECTION D CLASS WAS NOT ONLY WEARING GLITTER BUT LOOKED LIKE IT JUST COME OF THE MOUNTAIN. MY FILLY WAS RES CHAMP JUST BEFORE CHRISTMAS THE JUDGE SAID THAT MY FILLY SHOULD HAVE MORE BONE FOR A COLT AND BE WEARING A INHAND BRIDLE! WE REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO GO BACK IN THE RING WITH OUR 4 YEAR OLD MARE. SHE IS A COUNTY CHAMPION AND P.UK & SWPA CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFER MANY MANY TIMES GUESS WHERE SHE WAS PULLED IN?? YEP LAST!!! I AM CROSS BECAUSE IT WAS A WELSH SHOW AND YOU EXPECT A JUDGE THAT CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COLT N' FILLY! GRRRRRRRRRRR RANT OVER! LOL ... SORRY!

I find this most annoying as a good horse is a good horse it doesn't change over night. I went to a small show the other day and the judge thought my connie was a welsh C!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also yesterday we jumped in the worker and our first round was okay and we got 14/20 with a lady judge then the next class was judged by a man and we jumped a super round and he only gave us 11/20 for style i was sooooooooooo dissapointed as it was our best round yet!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr angry too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My rant now over too ;D

Had the same problem myself recently when our pb who was champion in-hand last year was last in the same class this year. Different ponies naturally , but h e did not deserve to come last. I find that male judges tend to like the bigger ponies/ horses in the part bred classes, and the women tend to like the ponies with more native blood. Any thoughts on that???
