didnt think you where gonna show her coz of her growing issues??i always tie mine up they soon learn it doesnt hurt un they cant go anywhere lol, if using hose to rinse off i always let the hose spray their feet first and work up just so they get used to the sensation un noise.

I always use a spare stable or the wash down area where they have ties either side rather than they get loose and hurt themselves, it's all a matter of getting on with it and not making an issue of it.

I had the same problem with my horse and rugs, i would only had to walk towards her and she would have several heart attacks. Got over the problem by hanging the rugs over the stable door so she could see and smell them and generally get used to the apperance of them. Next step was to fold them in half and lay the rug over her lower neck/withers area until she was happy, often taken several days and then gradually moving the rug backwards into position. I know some people disagree but i found a treat helped as a reward for being good and lots of patience from me.

My last mare used to be washed with a pressure washer with the breeders and when we put a hose pipe on her she use to freak! she soon got use to it. Take no rubbish from them. Maybe you should have someone to hold her and just throw water over her from a bucket.
Maybe she doesn't like the feel on trickling. After all with a horse that rears, you crack an egg on its head so it thinks its hit something and split its head so maybe the same applies with the trickle from a sponge

I would never use a hosepipe on a young pony, I always use warm water and a sponge, for the first time and get someone to hold them. Imagine how you feel when someone squirts you with a hosepipe, you shreik and run a mile, same for ponies. As you wash also scrape off ,so no trickles irrate them, when I have done the quarters however warm, I always cover , as even in the hottest weather it is chilly when you have water on you. Use common sense to begin with and you will get far.
