Someone used them on a shetland with sweet itch once. Her vet worked out the correct dosage and it had moderate effects so I understood.

My cob has an allergy to something but the vets are unable to determine actually what causes his problem. He has had antihistamine injections before and the vets have suggested now when i need to clip him, to give him an eight day dosage, four days before and four days after, to stop him having a reaction and rubbing himself sore. It's definately works for him although it does mean giving him 80 Priton tablets a day for clipping!!! plus i wash him off with diluted hippi scrub when i've clipped him and when i've ridden him, saddle area & neck.
