I had last week off so that I could complete the last part of a degree maths course I am doing, but on Monday we got our first ever pony and my week took a very different turn!!
We are complete novices, but have been "adopted" by lovely people who are helping us to learn how to look after our cheeky Exmoor. Six days on and gone are my manicured nails, my hair hasn't been styled for days, the inside of my car is filthy and I have aches where I didn't realise I had muscles! Would I change it though? Not on your life!
As for the maths......well, I'm back at work tomorrow and it's still sitting in the bag I brought it home in so I am going to have to beg for an extension for handing it in. Do you think "sorry sir, I got a pony" will be a good enough excuse?

Thanks - isn't it expensive!!! Keep telling the hubby its worth every penny though!
Everyone at work said how well I looked today so the fresh air and haynet filling must be doing me some good.

Wooo welcome to the land of the poor, but what you dont have in monetary value your pony will more than make up for in the "richness" stakes, can't buy what they give you, well done ;D

Thanks, worth it all just to see a daughter who never stops grinning! Being a teacher, I was never going to be rich anyway and its a great stress relief after a day with my class of "darlings"
