Hi, child rider usually wears navy jacket with white stock , Not sure about pony having sparkles, i would be inclined not to put anything on especially if its m&m.

ha ha the word sensor at its best!!
Being a total traditionalist i dont like to see glitter etc on ponies/horses in the evening performance. Nothing looks more smarter than a child in a navy coat, stock and properly secured hat. Not a believer in allowing children to wear top hats, in my opinion it totally ruins the picture.
I do like to see a young lad on his pony with a black hat and a bow tie instead of a stock though!!!
I think a good coat shine or pig oil with suitable quarter markings always stands out in the spotlights.

I think for many young people the glitter is what makes the turnout special! Gent handlers should be tuxedo and bow tie and no hat and the riders stock/bow tie, navy jacket and hat [top hat or three point connector]. Ladies tend to go with a more traditional shirt and skirt, but we have had some super glittery tops that looked wonderful in the lights. The question of whether you wear a three point connector is optional, but you all sign a disclaimer when you enter the show that says you have read the rules and accept them, and will hold no claim over any officers of the society. Our rules are that three point connectors are mandatory at all times whilst riding a horse [even riding horses and hunters etc] and if you wear a top hat you are doing so at your own risk. We recommend that all riders have individual sports insurance on themselves at all times, then you are covered should any accident occur.
