We have the NFU full breakdown and recovery service and we've had to use them twice this year!! All I can say is they've been absolutely brilliant and although we've had an hour or so to wait, they've pulled out all the stops including organising a taxi for myself and the children so we could get home to do our other ponies and get the kids to bed at a reasonable time. We use Pet Plan for our Horse Insurance and they are quite reasonably priced for the service they give.

I also use NFU breakdown cover for my lorry, i had to use them this year when the power steering went on my lorry whilst up in Oxfordshire. They arranged for the lorry to be transported to a local garage and a horsebox to take me and horse plus rather a lot of tack etc back home in Devon all within one and half hours of my telephone call. I also use NFU for my horse insurance and have done for the last 12 years not sure they are the cheapest but when i've had to deal with them, they have been great, paid vets bills etc quickly.

I use the Horsebox and trailer association. If you are a member of the AA you get a years cover for £42 or £49. Have never had to use them, but you never know...........

Oh, and I use Carriage House insurance for the horses, they are very competative and I know someone who has claimed from them and got their money really quickly!
