Hi all, i have a mare that has got a tendon injury i need to turn her away, im struggling with my options. if ANYONE has the solution, or any ideas please pm me....
she needs to be turned away, minimum of 3 months BUT it needs to be on as flat as land as possible (tendon injury) on land thats not going to get to muddy.. again because of the tendon, the mare can be aggresive around food so ideally not some where, where theres going to be round bales out and a herd of horses. (again want to lessen chance of kicking and the weight on the tendon)
she can though go out on her own (if she can see others) and would be fine to bring in for a few hours if somebody wanted to ride (fine to be alone but wouldnt leave her in the field alone.)
if its not within a decent distance of Exeter i will only be able to get there at the weekends, but have no problems on doing others peoples horses sat/sun in return. ideally, also because of vets visits would need electricity.
money wise.... im willing to pay what i need to, to ensure the best chances of the tendon recovering.
so if anyone knows of any where, or wants a livery for a few months, please get intouch,
thankies
