Has anyone had any experience in grading either a mare or stallion with BSPA or CHAPA? I ask, as a very handsome 4yr old traditional stallion could be heading my way, unbeaten in hand showing but needs to be graded to be brought out under saddle.

yep will need to do both as i want to do the RIHS qualifiers which is BSPA and HOYS qualifiers which is HOYS. Didnt realise there was a CHAPS grading in APril, was going to do the BSPA one at Cholwell then CHAPS later in the year. He will be very green for the BSPA one has he has only been sat on and i may not get him til the end of January do doesnt leave me long to prepare!
Good luck though, not that you'l need it, your boy is gorgeous!

PM alleyscallywag - she is a CHAPS judge. She may be able to help with advice.

chaps and bspa are good but very strict. but at end of day that is the best way to get top class stallions.
