Why is it that some of work our butts off to give our horses the very best and something happens and others who just don't care never seem to get a problem? ? There is a big shire x gelding at our livery yard and the girl who owns it never comes to see it, it's a d**n pain probably because it's bored out of it's tree - it came from a working livery yard where it was worked every day! it's being a pain for everybody else when we want to get our horses in because it also wants to come in and just barges thru you. We have electric fencing round our fields that runs directly of the mains my Chasey and the other 4 geldings respect it and don't push their luck coz they get zapped, this big thing just ploughs thru it, me and another girl were getting our boys in last nite did the fencing up got half way down what we call the corridor looked back to see this thing just completely demolish / break the fencing and come bombing towards us, it's dangerous especially because it's so big!!!!! Why should me, my horse or anyone else get hurt needless to say the girl who owns it got a very angry message left on her phone, we had to then sort fencing out, why do people have these animals if they haven't got time / can't be bothered with them? Arrrggggghhhh

that would send me mad, its not the animals fault they are what we make them and she is turning it into a nightmare. sounds like the owner needs to come back down from the clouds and take responsibilitiy for her horse before it does hurt someone or itself!!!!!!!!!!!

why dont you talk to your yard owner about it, maybe they can talk to her if theres afew of you who feel the same way, best to all go and see the yard owner at once.
maybe they can come to some agreement like, sharing with someone already up there, or if she pays someone up there to ride him out, sounds like he needs exercise... even big, lazy horses still need exercising.
as you said theres no need for you or anyone else to put them selfs in danger, because if shes does have an emergancy and need someone to sort her horse out, no one is going to do it, due to being too dangerious.

Since the angry message left on her phone she has turned up every night and even sorted the fencing out Saturday morning, the yard used to be a dairy farm until 2001 when foot & mouth took it's toll, the farmer who owned it then decided to turn it in to a livery yard apart from general maintenance he doesn't really get involved, which is one of the reasons i moved there got fed up with being on yards where you were being charged for pratically everything and fined if you dropped a blade of hay it's so easy going where i am now, done the BHS yards and can't be doing with them anymore!!!! and the best thing is we have two schools one indoor one outdoor 24hr turn out in summer, all year round turnout and 250 acres of glorious land to ride on, so although there is this one person who gets on mine and others nerves the good far outways the bad, hopefully she will keep coming up then there won't be a problem :-)
