what am i going to do?! i am looking for a job as a groom/looking after someones horses, but i don't know how to go about it! there is practically NO studs in my area, and the only one i do know of already had a weekend worker. does anyone know of anyone who is in need of a groom and lives within a short distance of Blackawton in Devon, or how i could get a job? i really need one as i want to save up for a stud fee, and even after that - horses cost money! lol

Try looking on yell.com for all the studs in your area, then write a letter to them all asking if they need a part time groom. You can write one letter and just change the addresses. Don't expect replies from all of them - if you get one reply out of ten you will be lucky ..............! - especially if they offer you a job! Tell them how committed you are, enthusiastic, hard working, knowledgeable about horses, prepared to do anything asked of you, good at following instructions etc. and see what happens. Good luck
