Hi there, I can't get schedule, entry form, etc. up on the SWPA show page for the Trinity show at Taunton racecourse on the 9th May. Is it just not on there yet? or is there a problem with the site? Thanks Helen

I am just so cross with people telling me what shows I can and cannot do, on other forums. I am having a re-think about this show one question that comes to mind. On racecourses do your ponies need the flu injection?

I agree, do what show suits you but I always thought you had to have your pony injected for flu to compete on race courses.

Exactly Masters thought you need the flu jab to go on racecourses. I could be out of date none of my ponies have been done.

Its on the car park - no jab needed as it is on the other side of the road. Anyway SWPA are not going to be checking passports - I have always been against that - I am too busy and have said if DEFRA etc want passports checked against horses then they need to provide people to do it!
If I can remember this far back [!] when the NPS show used to be held on the actual racecourse there were rules that all hoses had to be jabbed, but no one every checked - ever!
We used to hold our performance show on the car park and neither us nor anyone else ever checked passports for vacinations.

having competed at the Cheltenham horse show for several years in succession and including staying in the stabling area, they never once checked the horses passport!
Looking forward to this show.
