Just got back from Reading Shetland Sale and I'm awarding myself a large glass of wine because I managed to resist the most overwhelming temptation and did not bring home any ponies!! Decided that I have to cut down now I'm an OAP so the OH and I went in the car - fatal, because I always want something when I have not got the lorry. Well, true to form, there were several nice mares, some in foal, that would have gone really well with my stud and I admit I did take enough money, and I got a bidding card, but that was really as a comfort for Gordon as he feels a bit undressed without one.
Anyway, I have come home with nothing but a stable rug so I feel really good. Will put the money back in the bank tomorrow - promise!!
I did just mention to someone who was buying a load of ponies for someone else that I might be able to find room if one or two were not actually wanted, though.................

I'm going to Bridgwater sale and not buying anything!! I feel somewhat strange about that. lol. Though I am picking up a colt foal for my friend which I've arranged for her from Sue Bowling. So I'll get my fix that way Helen

I have bought and I did it over the Intenet and have bought a gorgous yearling shetland for granddaughter Faye to ride and he arrived on Monday at midnight! It is dun - a deep golden colour with an eel stripe and his name is Deano, but Stephs keeps calling him Beanie

Why Beanie? Am looking forward to seeing him. Hope Heron's nose not out of joint!!

No, Heron and him have not met just yet. Heron does, and still will, be ridden almost every single day - no chance of Deano taking his place just yet!
