Just an update - the format for the class is now being brought together and will be presented to SWPA in the next week for their consideration. Following this, updates will be posted regularly. At this stage we are hoping to have M&M in hands and ridden - it will all become clear in the next few weeks but can you please put the date in your diary - Friday 10 September 10. Also, a special class will be held for the Champion 1and 2nd Reserve and Section finalists from 2009 to go head to head again - they cannot compete for the Gwynbeth 2010 but we are planning in a few years to have a GwynBeth of the finalists of previous years and each year we will invite back the previous winners to enter for a special prize and to keep past competitors welcome and remembered. Finally, if you would like to Sponsor a Section of the M&M Breeds in-hand or ridden please do contact me. We are also working on the Sponsor packs but your offers will be gratefully received. Also if you distribute Notices, entry forms to Tack shops, Livery Yards, etc., could you also contact me and as soon as we have the printouts, we can send you them. We will not keep you waiting any longer than necessary for the format so if we say 2 weeks from today should be the posting with the format, entry details, etc. Once again thank you for 2009 and in great anticipation of your support for 2010. from a very excited GwynBeth Team xxx

Just an update. the GwynBeth Team now have an agenda for SWPA which will be presented to them on Friday evening. We hope we have addressed the main issue you raised of the finishing time. The main strength of the class being a non-qualifyer with selection phases to reach the prize money will remain the focal point. As soon as we have feed back from SWPA we will update you and SWPA will make the official announcements through their channels. We may reach agreement on some points on Friday and we will post these immediately but others may take a little longer but I am sure we will have a format and how to enter agreeement quite quickly. We will then commence with Sponsors, etc and will also keep you updated as we secure prizes. Once again, if you wish to Sponsor please do contact us. Thank you all for your interest and input. Roll on Friday evening.

Good news - SWPA are happy to work with us to run the class and it will be for M&Ms registered in their respective Breed/Stud books. There will be 5 individual sections - in hand over 4 years. 1,2,3 years olds, Ridden, First ridden and Lead rein. In each of the three sections there will be the 9 breeds plus the addtional sections of Welsh = 12. Obviously, the lead rein and first ridden will have the small breeds. SWPA had already anticipated we would need to start early for Phases 1 and 2 with phase 3 at 6pm and the class and presentations being completed at 8pm. After phase 2, there will be a break for the young persons reception and the adult reception also to make final preparations for phase 3. Entry forms will be available from late next week on www.waunarwfarmlivery.co.uk and also provisional timetables, schedules, prize monies and all the latest information you will need. SWPA will be uppdating this site and making their formal announcement as soon as we have tied up some of the final points but we know they are already working on the class. We hope that your concerns of the finishing time of the class have now been answered and you will be pleased with the proposed timings. We are sure (and hope) you will have questions and we (this also means Medwin, of course) will try and answer them as quickly as we can. GwynBeth2010 for Mountains and Moorlands 10 September 2010 - The promotion officially begins with this message and we will be updating you regularly

GwynBeth 2010 We are now pulling together information to pass onto you following on from Last Friday's meeting and this will be available very shortly. Can we also say that GwynBeth2011 is for part breads and we have not decided if it is just for ponies. If you can leave that with us for a few weeks we will update you on that point. we have not excluded over 148cms at this stage we just need to liase with SWPA re the sizes of classes etc. I love the over 148cms and will be fighting the corner.

Indeed you may ask - thank you for your question. I am informed that SWPA are contacting judges this week and they will update us as soon as they hear from them. As soon as we hear it will be posted. I can tell you that Russell Marks and Gwyneth Edgar will judge the class for previous winners and they are really looking forward to the challenge of seeing the past winners. The GwynBeth Team along with SWPA are determined to keep the class competitor friendly and secure in the hands of proven judges with SWPA. Obviously when the class has covered the equine range in say 2012 and maybe a open for all (what a day that would be) we will look at comments on all aspects of the class over the past few years and the GwynBeth Team will have to think has the GwynBeth reached a natural conclusion? We think the best asset of the class (apart from the cash prizes) is the format and secure judging which we endeavour to sustain above all. We have already planned the advertising and are well on with plans for encouraging Sponsors to Join with us for the Class. We will update shortly on all matters and, once again, thank you for your interest and support. Link

Good news - time table, schedule and entries forms nearly completed. Should be available late next week and all those who have already requested a pack, they will be sent out ASAP after that date. Entries will be taken as soon as the details are on the two websites. it is going to be a full day and evening. Lyndsay Pugh, the singer from 2009 will be coming back to entertain the crowd before the past winners class and hopefully we can persuade her to join in at the young persons reception??? You never know we may have a sing a long in the box park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a suggestion but would it be an idea to have the best yearling, best 2 yo and best 3 yo to go foward? I personally think a yearling hardly ever wins up against a 3yo so we wont be bringing our 2

How do you get a pack asap? If you completed the 2010 registration form at the back and requested a schedule it will come in the post to you direct as soon as it is ready. I have just processed your registration Helle - did you tick the box on the back?
