Had thought about going to both, but will wait and see weather forecast before deciding. I guess Pontispool is all outside rings and Heritage whp classes are later in the day. I find it hard to guess when classes might be in, so not sure I want to hang around in the cold. Will probably go to Badgworth just to get out, not really a strong flat class contender! But will be a nice day.

What a day!!
The novice ridden was first, & Jack had been really jumpy whilst I tacked him up, spooking & shying, so I wasn't really looking forward to riding him. Anyway, Jack behaved like a complete baby, spooking at anything and everything and tried to bomb off with me at one point - I looked like a right idiot. Unfortunately a man had just arrived with the loud speaker system and was on the roof dissembling the speakers during the class and Jack was super scared of him. We were pulled in last, as I had expected, and he stood beautifully. He did a very good show (might not have looked it, but to me it was one of the best we have done in a while) and didn't try and bomb off or spook. We were placed 4th (last) but the judge was very kind and supportive.
After a quick change from the snaffle to the pelham we were in again for the Open M&M NF/Conn. Unfortunately it was only me in the class but it's all for the experience at the moment, so I wasn't too bothered. Jack went soooooooo much better and did a very lovely show. The judge commented on how different he was in the pelham and she said he had really nice paces, looked balanced and responsive She also said she thinks he has great potential.
So after winning the open, we stayed in for the championship..... which we won
So a bit of an embarrassing start to the day but ended on a high!

My madness paid off yest as i took mine and wanted to do clear round which started at 7.30AM!!!!!!!!! Was mad but very good fun.
Took Ben in the novice ridden and he thought it was a bit much outside with ponies next door and galloping round the xcountry course beside so there was a lack of concentration but the judge was very understanding and to my pleasure we came 1st! Sadly novices were not eligable for the championship!
Did novice whp with Sooty which he LOVED and he jumped clear and came 2nd which i was chuffed to bits with which wasnt bad for 1st attempt at proper workers!

Na ben was very full of himself and just about managed to control it but its easier on a small pony to manage them than a connie I defentaly know that! lol
