well im going in for an op on my knee in the next month or so which is going to knock me out for most of the season. Not sure its a resolution, more of an aim, but i aim to still get the horses out and be back in the saddle by the champs

To sell as many of my ponies as possible as I have far too many and this hard Christmas has proved it to me. My truck broke down before Christmas and the roads were all but impassable, so Gordon got the horsebox out to get feed and water to the various fields - then on Christmas Eve the lorry broke down. Thank God he could lay his hands on a tractor and trailer! Got big round bales to everyone which helped no end. At least we haven't started lambing properly yet!
Have started to keep the New Year's Resolution as pony number one left home this morning. 15 at least left to go.......!
On a nicer side, I want to do more driving now the kids have all grown up and left the stables. Have got Jazz back in harness and have booked the little stallion Zulu in for breaking in April/May. Watch this space..

I have lots this year!!! 1. To loose at least a stone (i have this one every year ) 2. To sell one of the youngsters and the big daft wb that ive had far too long 3. To get Ellie out under saddle and get backing the soon to be 4 yr old 4. To not let the little things stress me out, what will be will be and so long as everyone is happy and healthy then not to worry 5. To have a horse free holiday, cant see this one happening but i can dream!!!

Well, ;D I can relate to the loosing a stone [put on 4 lbs over Christmas!] As for the horse free holiday - I am off to Australia in just 3 weeks now - but it won't be horse free as I am going bush riding. Got on my D mare over Christmas to prepare - now I am so stiff I can hardly walk!!! As for the "not letting little things stress you out" - the menopause is a great cure for that - but you will have a long wait Taffy! My resolution - to be more organised and not leave everything to the last minute.
