Hi all!
This champs will be my first stay-away show with my youngster and I have a few questions. I am assuming I have to bring my own hay and water bucket, but are shavings available on site? I assume we also receive something in the post to let us know which stable we have been assigned?
Thank you!

Hi, i'm sure Medwin will reply to this but i might be able to help, shavings are available to buy there, reasonsible price as well, you need to bring everything else with you. When you arrive, you need to find the stable manager who will unlock a stable of your choice, she's normally around by the stables in the afternoons.

Daughter Charise is stable manager and she will allocate your stables for you, with the support of the Caldicot Air Cadets. Most stables have shavings already in there and usually one bale on top is sufficient. She will have shavings and haylage available to buy at set times during the day, but you need to look at the times on the stable managers door at the entrance to the stable yard. I recommend that everyone brings a spray of disinfectant and spray the whole stable before putting your horse away. The is no problems at Broome's - I would say that wherever you went and stabled your horse in a strange stable.
Once you have your stable, and have signed for it to agree you received it clean, then we expect you to clean it out afterwards or we will bill you £10 [because that's what we get charged for each dirty stable]
All stables are locked and will only be opened to people who have booked a stable and paid in advance or who pay cash given to the Stable Manager only! Anyone found using a stable without paying for the privilage will be charged DOUBLE and / or asked to leave the showground.
Anyone requiring a stable for just one day will be charged £45 as well, and if any groups of people make private arrangements to share a stable it will be the person who signed for the stable originally who will be charged if it is left dirty.
Hope this helps
