In the riddens there will be a marked out arena in which you need to do your free style show. BUT, is the judge likely stand IN the area with you, so would you f.ex.start your show from the 'center line' ? or do you 'enter' the area? ??

No the Judge will not be in the area and there is no centre line. Of couse, you may wish to use the imagjnary centre line to construct your show but the area is designed so that the timing may be kept to and the judge will see your whole performance. Your show does not have to use the maximum time allowed as very ofter a short show of quality movement is the most memorable, Good luck

I know it would be easier to say" you do .... then you go.... and then you finish with........"
"Freestyle" means just what it says - that you are free to do a style of show of your own choice [but maybe within a time constraint of about 2 mins]
For in hand you are best to consider a show based on an upside down triangular route in front of the judge. They can then see the animal going away from them and back towards them [essential for assessing for straightness of movement] You would also need to show movement at walk and trot and stand.
For ridden you would need to consider walk, trot and canter with extensions in all three paces if possible, but definitely trot and canter and stand and you may wish to include rein-back, but be confident you can do it well! You could choose a two/three loop serpentine or stick with the traditional figure of eight.
Mark out a rough 40 x 60 meter square in your field and plan/practise your show. Good luck ;D
