Was just wandering why you aren't allowed to wear spurs even if it is deemed part of a dress code?

At the moment you are allowed to wear spurs if it is deemed part of the dress code - so under British Show Horse Rules you can wear them if you are going into a show cob, riding horse, hunter or hack class where everyone in the class should be wearing them.
If you took a show cob into a coloured class you would not be able to wear them as some exhibits in the class would not be able to wear spurs - e.g. mountain and moorland ponies such as coloured shetlands and Welsh duns or palaminos.
It must be a fair starting point. Animals do go better if you are wearing spurs and the complaints come when some people in a class have them on and some are not allowed to wear them.
Due to the large number of complaints we receive we are considering banning them altogether.

thats what I thought but surely if they are "considering" it doesnt mean a decision has been made yet? In the show within a show class on Sunday at the champs, the RH class were all made to take spurs off
