Am so proud of my little grey Welsh boy Jazz. We had such a lovely drive out this pm. with the sun shining and all the leaves such lovely colours. Jazz just stormed along, loving every minute. He is such a wonderful pony, one in a lifetime. 20 year old and feeling 7, just loving his work and showing it. Young Charlotte Langridge, who has badly lost her nerve for riddens came with me and actually took the reins and drove Jazz for about a quarter of a mile in trot and was relaxed and confident. Such a joy to see after all her troubles. Just one little "flid" when he saw four horses ridden abreast on the road and he broke to canter for two strides, but other than that, what a joy!! Thanks, Jazz, you made my day!

I love hacking out on crisp autumn mornings, not so much in pouring icy winter rain

Have to agree there is no joy in being out in tipping rain. Nothing quite so horrible as a lap full of rainwater when sitting in a carriage!
