What a terrible shame that the girl should die trying to help the mare. It is, unfortunately, just "one of those things" and no-one can be blamed. Anyone who's involved with horses knows the potential dangers. Like you say Pelly, a tragic accident

A tragic accident, but nobody is to blame. Working with horses is a risky job, and those who do so must accept that.

mare's can be such evil things esp when it comes to being in season, and being in foal
