A clinic for "new to showing" peeps sounds excellent, I find its all very well knowing what you have to do, put putting it into practice is a very different game, would also be a huge confidence builder.

How about you coming to a show and watching us lot at work, if your'e not careful though you'll get a job! it really is the best way to learn. All being well, we will be at Whiddon Down on the 7th August for the Dartmoor Breed show, you would be very welcome.

You are so right - being a steward and talking to judges about their choices [which all judges love to talk about] is the best way to learn what they are looking for. Then you go home and put it into practise.

WE WILL ATTEND , HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT SENDING MEG AND CHARLIE FOR SOME LESSONS FOR SHOWING AS THIS IS THERE FIRST YEAR AT AFFILIATED LEVEL AND SHE WOULD LOVE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT RING CRAFT ETC, WOULD HELP HEAPS WITH HER CONFIDENCE IN THE RING AND WOULD BE NICE TO MEET UP AND GET TO KNOW YOU ALL!

How about an indoor clinic later in the year for conformation and I will try and get a judge and breeder to come along and give a talk and open up discussion on points of conformation important to showing. I know a nice little pub that does good food and has a room we could use - nice night out with a bit of learning thrown in? ;D ;D We will then try and book some indoor venues for schooling sessions aimed at novices - riders and horses/ponies. Only think I ask is that if I book will you attend?
