Just wondering as we had this quaetion asked and loads of people said they would like to see them back. I know they are expensive to run but think it would attract more people. Maybe only at one or two shows but finding the qualifiers is hard down south.

SWPA plan to hold NPS classes in 2009 at our major outdoor shows as well as Equifest, Royal London, PUK and the affiliated breed societies.

Ah - she is over in Hampshire and there is a shortage of shows over there! [other than those allyscallywag runs herself] Pembrokeshire is going to get a branch show I believe next year. Oh it is so nice to be popular!

Must admit Med branching out sounds a good idea-meeting the needs of all your members and moving forward is fantastic news.
Exciting times ahead. Great news the NPS qualifiers are back!

We get lots of shows over this way but they are mostly (apart from county level like New Forest & Romsey) unaffiliated to the societies like NPS. What we need are shows affiliated to both the larger societies and SWPA and ISS (Royal London). New Forest Enthusiasts Open Show is one to go to but I can struggle to find many more. THink we should have an SWPA show here in Hampshire which is affiliated to NPS and BSPS and ISS.

Perhaps I need to come over and spend a bit of time researching possible show grounds. We could share a glass or two in the evening and mull over the possibilities could we not?

Could you look into Wiltshire to, as i usually have to travel for at least 1 1/2hrs + to compete anywhere, and your lucky if you even find a small local show this way, Although Hampshire not to far, especially if its on the wilts/hants borders.

Med, I'm making a list of possible sites and I've got the wine in the fridge and the pud in the freezer. Just need to think about a main course and we are away! Also have a team of stewards champing at the bit including THE Chief Steward everyone wants to steal! When are you coming over?
