Sorry to her about Titch.
One of my boys also has it and he's not even allowed out of the stable for at least a month!
Just a word of warning, please don't rush into riding her let alone jumping her. It usually takes a long time to get over the slightest bout of laminitis. Remember, you've always got next year and hopefully the weather will be better then aswell!
Good Luck

Our 'A' mare, Lucy Locket, has laminitis at the moment and she is also in a lot of pain, she's having to have medicine which meant she lost her foal but at least I'll be able to ride her later on in the year, I hope. Hope Titch gets better soon! xXx

So sorry to hear of your loss. Laminitis is awful and hopefully lately they are learning more about it as it has always been a grey area. Hugs to you about your unborn foal. Hope your baby gets better soon too. A specialist is coming to see Titch next wednesday and hopefully can help shed some light and see whether he wants x-rays etc.

Just had the specialist look at Titch and he is not over concerned. Titch is off the pain killers now and can walk again ;D Still not allowed out as the grass with all this rain is far to good. We can start walking her if she feels up to it but he said don't make her if it hurts. He wants to see her in 2-3 weeks to see if she is ready for shoes. Might take x-rays just to be on the safe side. He said it doesn't look like there has been rotation as she would still be in alot of pain. So i think it is looking a little better for her now ;D

progress steady but slow is better than being too quick and going backwards

Progress is slow but steady. She isn't in as much pain as is quite comfortable now. The vet and specialist think that in about 2-3 weeks she can have her shoes back on, but i won't rush her ridden. Better to save her for next season. Thanks for thinking of her Cayberry.
